Ruth at Weavers' Triangle

Oh Dear! You can see I'm not a natural blogger, my last post was last summer! I prefer taking photos to writing but I shall try to do better.

A lovely sunny day today - although very cold. Took Ruth out to do some photos, she's one of my favourite models because she manages to be fairly unconscious of the camera most of the time.

Here are some of the photographs we made together. Both she and I tend to like a nostalgic look, from the kitchen sink drama filmic look to 1960s knitting pattern models, anything goes. There are some remotely 1920s feeling shots below, some a little 70s, and Ruth as Amy Johnson. We've drawn on a range of visual references (1940s land girl, Wallace Simpson, Russian winter) set against an industrial northern background - the historic Weavers' Triangle in Burnley. The weather was freezing cold so we couldn't execute them to their fullest extent but hopefully you can see what we're trying to achieve. Let me know if you like a particular look.
